Rütgers is Europe’s leading manufacturer of chemical raw materials made from coal tar, serving customers in aluminium, graphite, carbon black and other industrial and chemical industries.
Triton acquired Rütgers from Evonik Industries AG, where it was a non-core business within the specialty chemicals division.
Realisation
Triton sold Rütgers to Rain CII, an India-based industrial group listed on the National Stock Exchange of India, in January 2013.
