Kinios acquires Sportklinik Halle and MVZ Ortho Königsallee

Frankfurt / Düsseldorf / Halle (Germany), 31 January 2022 - Kinios GmbH ('Kinios'), part of the medical care group TMVZ, a Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II portfolio company, has acquired MVZ Sportklinik Halle ('Sportklinik Halle') in Halle an der Saale and MVZ Ortho Königsallee - Zentrum für Molekulare Orthopädie GmbH ('MVZ Ortho Königsalle') in Düsseldorf. The acquisitions mark the first steps in Kinios' growth strategy to establish itself in major metropolitan regions in Germany by the second half of the year. Terms and conditions of the transactions are not disclosed.

Sportklinik Halle is a modern clinic for orthopedics specializing in sports injuries. The aim is to return patients to full quality of life and work within the shortest possible time after orthopedic/surgical procedures performed on an outpatient or inpatient basis. Sportklinik Halle is a partner of regional sports clubs and Olympic athletes, including the Saxony-Anhalt Olympic Training Center. In addition to comprehensive diagnostics, the experienced team of physicians uses state-of-the-art treatment procedures and therapies. Sportklinik Halle also operates a prevention and rehabilitation center and is licensed as a BG accident insurance physician for occupational accidents.

MVZ Ortho Königsallee is a modern practice with a focus on molecular orthopedics. An interdisciplinary team of physicians from the fields of orthopedics, neurosurgery, radiology and pain therapy focuses on gentle and minimally invasive treatments within a conservative and surgical treatment spectrum. A special feature of the practice is the movement laboratory with gait and walking analysis.  MVZ Ortho Königsallee cooperates with outpatient and inpatient clinics, including the St. Martinus Hospital in Düsseldorf.

The Kinios team offers owners of orthopedic practices a partnership that enables them to continue to grow successfully and at the same time set the course for their succession by handing over their practice to Kinios. The team places particular emphasis on the individual wishes of the practice owners when structuring the partnership.

About Kinios

Kinios GmbH is a partner of orthopedic practice owners and supports them in strategic challenges such as succession planning and generating further growth. For most orthopedic practices, the areas of administration and organization increasingly tie up resources. This development, caused by increased regulatory requirements and necessary investments in advancing digitalization, leaves practice owners less and less room to focus on core tasks.

By handing over the practice to Kinios and thus connecting to a larger network, this organizational burden is reduced. The Kinios team has many years of experience in the healthcare sector, especially in the area of practice development. The goal of Kinios is to establish the market leader in outpatient orthopedics in the German-speaking region together with leading orthopedic specialists.
