A nationwide architecture and engineering group

formicon, headquartered in Frankfurt (Main) was established in 2026 as a nationwide operating architecture and engineering group in Germany. The group includes the general planning firm blfp, the engineering firms IBJ Planungsgesellschaft and enertec, and the architecture firm SGP3. The company focuses on the integrated planning of complex projects for public-sector clients, municipalities and cities, as well as commercial customers. The goal is to establish a German market leader covering all service phases of construction projects, contributing to more efficient, futureready, and responsible building.

formicon employs approximately 180 people at locations in Düsseldorf, Dresden, Erfurt, Friedberg and Gießen (Hesse), Hamburg, Leipzig, and Lippstadt and currently generates annual revenue of nearly 30 million euros.

The company combines local proximity with groupwide expertise. Its service portfolio includes integrated architectural and engineering services in building construction, as well as the planning, consulting, and execution of complex construction projects from Phase Zero through completion. Services range from technical building equipment for schools, universities, hotels, and administrative buildings, with a focus on energy supply and environmental technology, to healthcare construction and medical technology planning. formicon acts as a general planner for its clients and serves as a single point of contact for all service phases and specialist disciplines. A groupwide priority is sustainable building.

The establishment of formicon is another step in Tritons proven strategy to build highquality platforms in relevant and highly fragmented industries, with the aim of developing them into market leaders through our strategic buyandbuild approach.
