The group includes the general planning firm blfp, the engineering firms IBJ Planungsgesellschaft and enertec, and the architecture firm SGP3. The company focuses on the integrated planning of complex projects for public-sector clients, municipalities and cities, as well as commercial customers. The goal is to establish a German market leader covering all service phases of construction projects, contributing to more efficient, future‑ready, and responsible building.

formicon employs approximately 180 people at locations in Düsseldorf, Dresden, Erfurt, Friedberg and Gießen (Hesse), Hamburg, Leipzig, and Lippstadt and currently generates annual revenue of nearly 30 million euros.
