Bluu unit acquires Tech Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and continues European growth

Ludwigsburg (Germany) / Dublin (Ireland), 13 January 2026 - bluu unit GmbH, a Triton Smaller Mid-Cap II portfolio company and a rapidly growing alliance of regionally strong companies in the fields of sustainable refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation technology as well as data center solutions, acquires the Irish company Tech Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. With this transaction, bluu unit is strengthening its presence in one of Europe’s most dynamic markets - with the clear objective of anchoring and actively advancing its market-leading expertise in natural refrigerants in another country. At the same time, the alliance also aims to expand its existing capabilities in data centre solutions.

Tech Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is one of Ireland’s leading specialists in refrigeration and air conditioning with a nationwide service network and extensive expertise in the application of natural refrigerants. Based in Dublin, the company employs around 70 people and is particularly known for its high service quality and comprehensive expertise in installing and maintaining complex systems – including food sector, data centres, retail, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and educational facilities. What truly distinguishes the company is its strong focus on highly qualified professionals, natural refrigerants and the highest standards of excellence in project organisation, customer support, service and maintenance. This aligns perfectly with the strategic direction and value-driven approach of the bluu unit alliance and forms a strong foundation for close co-operation and joint development.

For bluu unit, Ireland represents a key growth market. The acquisition provides an ideal foundation to systematically further develop the Irish market, strategically expand the alliance in terms of both breadth and depth, support ambitious decarbonisation targets and future-proof energy-intensive industries – particularly in the context of the EU’s intensified F-gas regulation. At the same time, existing bluu unit alliance customers in Ireland also benefit from the expanded presence and the new location: established networks of high-quality refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants – for example in the hotel and leisure sector as well as other application areas – can now be serviced more quickly, efficiently and sustainably on site.
