Marmorin Becomes Part of SCHOCK

04.01.2022

Regen (Germany), Wshowa (Poland), 4 January 2022 - SCHOCK, a Triton Fund V portfolio company and innovative manufacturer of quartz composite sinks and supplier of high-grade mixer taps, has acquired Marmorin, the Polish manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen products from quartz composite materials. The acquisition is a key part of SCHOCK’s growth strategy. Terms and conditions of the transaction are not disclosed.

Marmorin, a family business founded in 1985 and headquartered in Wschowa (Poland), manufactures freestanding bathtubs as well as washbasins and shower trays, all of which are particularly popular in North America. “Marmorin offers outstanding products, great material and design know-how and a customer base that will enable us to tap further potential in the United States. The acquisition underlines our ambition to further expand our position in this key growth market,” says Ralf Boberg, CEO of SCHOCK.

Marmorin too views the change of ownership in a positive light: “We have known and appreciated each other for a long time,” says Jakub Hrab, CEO of Marmorin. “With SCHOCK, we have found the right partner to drive our growth in the USA.”

With the acquisition of SCHOCK GmbH by investment firm Triton in March 2021 the prerequisites to further accelerate the geographic expansion were created. The acquisition of Marmorin was negotiated in close cooperation between SCHOCK’s management and the Triton team.
