Aleris to divest radiology, primary care and rehab units

21.02.2022

Stockholm (Sweden) 21 February 2022 – Aleris, a Triton Fund V portfolio company has signed an agreement to divest its radiology business to an international radiology group which includes Meine Radiologie / Blikk, a leading German radiology operator, backed by EQT Infrastructure. Furthermore, Aleris also divests its operation within primary care and primary care rehab in Sweden to Swedish care operator Praktikertjänst.

With the transactions, Aleris continues the company´s shift to become the most modern and accessible specialist healthcare provider in Scandinavia.

The radiology divestment includes the full operation of the business area, with 14 units in Norway and 22 in Sweden which together carry out more than 1 million radiology exams annually across a broad range of diagnostic imaging modalities. The primary care divestment in Sweden includes the health center at Bollnäs Hospital and Rudan Health Center in Haninge outside of Stockholm as well as eight units within Aleris primary care rehab.

” We have carried out a thorough sales process and believe the new owners will create good conditions for growing and developing the businesses further. The divestments enable us to focus on Aleris’ core offering as a leading specialist healthcare provider,” says Sofia Palmquist, CEO of Aleris.

Aleris was acquired by Triton in 2019. The divestment of the radiology business area marks the second major structural transaction during Triton’s ownership, following the acquisition of Swedish specialist healthcare provider Proliva in 2020.

Both transactions are subject to regulatory approval.
